Chapter 2280: The God Realm Champion

Zhang Mengyao, Lu An, Kang Xue, and the others looked toward Tang Shaoyang. Even though no one said anything, everyone in the room knew what the next topic was.

Every time something happened, something that involved the Tang Empire and the God Realm. The Emperor always handled everything by himself. It included taking care of their three neighbors in the God Realm. He seized the three kingdoms on his own and turned them into their vassals.

When there was an issue involved with the empire, the Emperor would resolve the situation himself. The assassination attempt against him involved the Prime Minister and her daughter. He fought a whole fight himself, and this event too, the Emperor might try to stop them from joining the God Realm Champion.

It was undoubtedly a dangerous event, and many would lose their lives. The Emperor would use that as an excuse to stop them from joining.

"We need to join the event. You can’t stop us from joining!"

Zhang Mengyao said what was on everyone’s mind. This was more than just a battle for resources. It was a battle for their growth as well. It was about time for them to blend with the God Realm instead of focusing on the Dimensional Tower.

There might be a new Heaven and Hell Dimensional Tower, but they needed more than that. The God Realm was the best place to test their growth, to find out where they were standing in the God Realm.

"Okay," Tang Shaoyang agreed right away. His response clearly surprised everyone.

"Is there a limited participation for a faction?" He asked Feng Zhan.

"There’s no limit or restriction for a faction. The event is individual, and there are a few stories where the members from one faction are killing each other once they are inside the event."

If there was no limit, it meant he needed to set that limit himself. He could not let everyone join the event and left the empire unattended. Then another issue would arise: who should he choose to join the event?

All God Ranks held an important position in the empire. If he picked based on strength, the empire would be leaderless. The strong were picked to lead a division, an army, and many more.

"So, how are we going to choose who will join the event? We can’t all participate; we can’t leave our home unattended."

The concern was not just about a sudden attack from outside, but also the affair of the Dimensional Tower. Especially the Heaven and Hell Dimensional Tower, which they recently acquired. They hadn’t really established their foothold.

The factions inside respected the Tang Empire because of Tang Shaoyang’s status as the Executive Administrator. The established factions in that tower didn’t take what originally belonged to the two kingdoms in Bahmes. The Tang Empire just needed to retake those. There was no fight. At least for the first twenty floors.

They didn’t know what would happen without the God Rank’s watch. They needed people to oversee their operation for the safety of the people they sent to harvest the resources.

"Don’t tell me you are all going to join the event and leave the empire?" Tang Shaoyang observed them one by one, and he seemed to hit the nail on the head.

Everyone in the room wanted to join the event. It was a high-risk, high-reward event. Understandably, they wanted to join at the promise of advancing their talent, class, and even bloodline.

"I will not agree for you all to join the event unless you can come up with terms on who to go and who to stay!"

"There’s still time to decide..." He turned toward Feng Zhan, "How long do we have until the event?"

Now that it came up as a topic, there was more detail that Feng Zhang hadn’t mentioned. If something truly happened in the capital during the event, he would not hesitate to leave. The question was, could he leave during the event?

"Can we leave the event midway? Let’s say that we have an emergency. Can we leave the event?"
