The Primordial of Blazing Benediction was the face of mages all over Reality, as the day she reached this position, a new sun that was the biggest in all of Eosah’s Reality arose, and every child of fire went to it. They all knew the stories of Andar and Mira, and to see her return to carry his torch forward fueled a wave of fervor across the entire magus world.Like a mage, the Primordial of Blazing Benediction had taken her spellcraft to new heights, and she was making new discoveries as time passed. Rowan knew that she was among the few Primordials who may never need to go deeper into their Origins in order to gather great power, because the process of spellcraft was all about taking the energy of what was around you and controlling it to suit your needs, and she had taken that concept to the limit.
Her hunger for revenge and for the return of Andar equaled his own, and Rowan was grateful that a Primordial that shared his passion for the release of his loved ones had been born amongst their number.
The last three Primordials were almost born at the same time, with the years separating their rise being mere centuries. The eighth Primordial, the Primordial of Dawnforged Embers, was Rowan’s son, Vraegar.
Originally, if Vraegar had followed his true nature as a dragon, then he might have been one of the first New Primordials to be born, but due to the request of Rowan, he was forced to take a new path that did not walk the road of the Ancient Primordials.
Vraegar was a being of endless hunger, and he held within his heart the traces of Rowan’s true savagery and anger. And against his enemies, this was an extremely potent weapon, but the only problem with this power was that it was a known quantity by the Primordials, hence they would know how to channel or redirect it.
The dragon was far too powerful and important to be left with such a crutch, and like Telmus, Rowan fashioned a new path for Vraegar, and it was one that borrowed one of the most dangerous tools that Rowan had ever held, and it was the Altar of Unmaking, alongside the hammer that came with it.
Even though this Altar was given to distract Rowan from the true threats of the Primordials and pushed his focus only on the Primordials that were inside Reality, Rowan still recognized how dangerous this tool was, and he knew that what he needed was to refine this weapon in a direction that the Primordials would not be able to touch, and so Vraegar became his answer, and the Primordial of Dawnforge Embers was created.
In the past there were multiple Eternal Realms similar to Doomstar inside Eosah’s Reality, but they had all being slowly destroyed with no traces left, and after Rowan shattered Doomstar, he thought that was the last Eternal Realm in existence, but it was not, one more Eternal Realm remained, and it had been under the protection of Primordial Memory who gained a vast sum of treasure and wealth from this realm.
This Eternal Realm was called the Forge-World of Hephaestus Minor, and their ruler was also a Breaker named Hephaestus, who forged weapons and treasures for the Primordial.
To ensure that this Breaker, who held the Singularity Fire Hammer, was weakened, his bones were crushed, and he was forbidden to heal them, and the weight of his hammer was doubled every time it was swung. With all of these impediments, Hephaestus was still forced to make treasures with his hammer, and so it took millions of years for him to make a single treasure, but over time, that treasure had grown to a great number, as even the Great Labyrinth itself was partly built by this smith.
After swearing his loyalty to Rowan, Hephaestus worked with him to reforge Vraegar into something new, as he fused with the Altar of annihilation while carrying the flames of his brother’s ambition in his heart.
Because he did not want to affect the nature of this fusion, Rowan was rather handoff and the possibility that Vraegar would have perished was truly great, but the dragon’s soul had grown iver the years of trials and tribulation, and he arose the Primordial of Dawnforged Embers, and his powersets were one of Eos’s closely guarded secrets, and Rowan was not aware of all he could do.
However, Rowan knew that it would be ridiculously powerful because Vraegar who now wore a humanoid form with long red hair and draconnic eyes was always holding back during practice bout, and the fact that Hephaestus had sacrificed his life in order for Vraegar to claim the Fire Hammer, meant that Vraegar became the second Primordial Breaker after Thenos, and he was the fusion of Rowan’s Breaker bloodline and Hephaestus.
The ninth Primordial, the Primordial of Screaming Void, was Noctis, who struggled more than most to rid himself of the Ancient pathway of Death, and he could only succeed when he decided to give himself up and pleaded to Rowan for the chance to become an Elythrii.
His bond to the Primordials and Death was too great, as the Karma for being the one to open the door for the Primordials still bound his heart in a chain of regret and anger, making it impossible for him to let go of it. After seeing the great progress the rest were making and knowing that the war was drawing near, Noctis finally let go and became a mortal and an Elythrii.
Without the barrier of regret, Noctis’ ascent was swift and was almost faster than Telmus’s ascent to Primordial. The touch of the life he had lived still played a choice in the concept Noctis chose to embody and becoming the Primordial of Screaming Void, an entity who was meant to devour Death and madness, Noctis took his redemption as his entire purpose.
The last of the New Primordial was the Primordial of Endless Eclipse, and this Primordial came from a fusion of the old and the new. And although Rowan expected her rise, he could not have anticipated the path she used to reach them.
The Primordial of Endless Eclipse was Staff, the daughter of Telmus.
Staff had insisted on following the Pathway of her father, and Rowan had been curious about what the result might be when two Primordials arose from he same path using his system.
Would they still be as restricted as the Ancient Primordials, and no progress could be made by the new Primordial in the same path, or would this be because the concepts, while exact, could also be interpreted according to the understanding of the user, ensuring that even two Primordials on the same path would still be different?
Rowan had no way to know this, and so he was pleased that Staff was taking up this path even though he knew that this was an act of defiance towards him.
However, everything changed when Mira, the Primordial of Blazing Benediction, was born, and Staff could no longer stand by as Mira surpassed her and became a Primordial. What if the battle began and the war for Andar’s soul did not include her in the picture just because she was too weak?
Abandoning her stubbornness, Staff came to Rowan to be reborn as an Elythrii, and Rowan still chuckled when he remembered her fury when she was rejected, but before she could blow up, Rowan had given her a new suggestion: what if she did not just become an Elythrii but the fusion of Rowan’s bloodline and her father’s?
