Chapter 2625: Re: Demon Realm Amusement Park

The basic premise of this attraction is to make your way through the maze while fending off attacks from mirror monsters, but I think the first one, which was obviously easy to spot, was basically a tutorial, so I get the impression that the difficulty is going to start increasing from here.

[They said something about not overlooking anything out of place during the initial explanation, right?]

[Y- Yeah. I guess that means something strange is going to show up in the mirrors, even if its not as blatantly obvious as the one before?]

This is, after all, just an amusement park attraction, and its not some sort of hidden route in Forest Castle, so the difficulty should basically be set at a level where you can clear it if you just play normally.

So, for example, it shouldnt be so difficult that theres an incredibly tiny discrepancy in the mirror that you can only notice if you look carefully, and missing it means youre out for one attempt.

However, considering that youre out after three mistakes and that youre safe even if you miss something twice, I think it probably focuses mainly on easy-to-spot discrepancies, with some slightly more difficult ones mixed in from time to time.

For the time being though, Hina-chan is pretty scared, so itll probably be difficult for her to calmly spot anything out of place. If possible, I want to do my best here and make sure Im the one who notices them.

With that in mind, I took another look around the mirror maze Basically, the parts that were mirrors were the sections corresponding to the walls. The floor wasnt mirrored, and the ceiling was too dim to see, but at least it didnt seem to be a mirror either.

In that case, unless we were at a corner or a dead end, the things we needed to pay attention to were the mirrors on both sides as we moved forward.

[Hina-chan, its been about 20 seconds since the first one, so something could happen at any moment. Watch out.]

The Holy Lanterns interval is 20 seconds, so now that its available for use again, an attack from a mirror monster could happen at any moment.

As I felt Hina-chan leap onto my arm with a scream, I pointed the lantern at the mirror on the right and used it. A scream just like the one from before rang out, and black mist emerged from my body reflected in the mirror before fleeing into the depths of the mirror.

T- That startled me Having the me inside the mirror suddenly move differently from the me on this side really was exactly what youd expect from a horror attraction. But I see, so they can also disguise themselves as our reflections in the mirrors

[Hina-chan, are you okay?]

[T- T- T- That was scary C- Coming at me all of a sudden like that, isnt that cheating!?]

[That surprised me too. It really caught me completely off guard]

Hina-chan was trembling slightly and her voice was somewhat tearful, so it was clear that she must have been pretty scared, and I could understand how she felt since that startled me quite a bit too.

However, the way she was tightly clinging to my arm was somewhat problematic, or rather My arm was currently sandwiched between Hina-chans ample breasts, making it difficult for me to stay calm.

Of course, from Hina-chans perspective, she was desperately clinging to my arm because it was the arm of someone she felt close to, trying to escape the fear of the horror attraction she was bad with, so I couldnt really blame her.

That said, I was having a hard time keeping calm myself, or rather, considering how tightly she was hugging me, we were pressed together so closely that it was practically impossible for me not to be conscious of it.

However, that didnt mean I could tell a frightened Hina-chan to move away from me, and besides it didnt look like she was going to let go anytime soon.

No good. If she pleaded with me with eyes that teary, there was no way I could tell her to let go of my arm. Considering Hina-chans state of mind, I suppose it would be best to continue like this, with her clinging to my arm

For now, all I had to do was stop thinking about anything weird and focus properly on keeping an eye on our surroundings. Id just have to consider the concentration I was losing because of the softness and warmth I could feel against my arm as the price I had to pay to make Hina-chan feel safe.
