Chapter 1019: Finally.

This chapter is updated by JustRead.pl

Seeing the way the system spirit controlled what looked like origin and mana energy through midair shocked the other golems around, that was because Number One’s breakthrough didn’t just stop at the low Tier 6 realm; it continued until he reached the Peak of the Tier 6 realm.

At that moment, the aura he released left even the main golems stunned, they could clearly feel that if they were to fight this summoned Golem of Legion before them, then the outcome was no longer certain.

Almost instantly, they all seemed to understand Butcher’s plight, yet there was nothing they could do about it as the system spirit moved on to Number Two and Number Three, spreading its hands and transferring the energy toward them as well.

With the process still ongoing, Alec shifted his attention elsewhere, that was when Butcher suddenly grabbed his leg.

“Master, why? Why pick Oni before me? I know he found the location, but I struggled harder to bring Titan here, see” he said, pointing at the levitating ice glaciers that were beginning to crack, as though Titan was about to burst out at any moment.

Seeing Butcher like this made Alec wonder whether he should laugh or sigh, as his actions were just too comical to take him seriously, though he could understand why the thunder axeman was so worried, so he spoke to reassure him.

“We did it this way because I don’t believe we can enter that Thunder special region without proper preparation, let’s put it like this: after Oni, if there’s still a chance today, I promise you’ll be the next one we focus on, but if not, just know that the Hive Queen still comes before you in the pecking order of who gets evolved next.”

Butcher had started to smile as Alec began explaining, yet when he heard the last part of the sentence, he nearly felt like fainting.

“Seems I still have to wait,” Butcher muttered.

While the system spirit was busy pushing Legion’s captain-ranked golems toward the Peak of the Tier 6 realm, new visitors seemed to be approaching, and at the same time, Alec could tell that Titan was on the verge of breaking free from the glacier shell that had been used to house him.

Seeing the way his master stared at the ice shell with such rapt attention that he was even oblivious to the fact that he was still in his Crimson Thrall form, Legion spoke up.

“Don’t worry, Master. I will take care of this,” he said, realizing that Alec’s concern towards the new guest wasn’t fear, but the possibility of missing the final moment of another of his golems’ evolution again, just like he had missed Legion’s own evolution.

It was something Alec was still unhappy about, even if the situation back then had called for it, it was no secret among the golems that their master loved to watch and personally oversee every single one of their evolutions.

“Huh?” Alec looked at Legion in surprise at first, then nodded, there were two new lifeforms before them, but they were unlike anything he had encountered before.

That was because they weren’t demonic beasts, but beings he believed should have only belonged to the second dimension.

Name: Ice Trolls

Type: Giant

Realm: Tier 7 (Mid)

Affinity: Ice (High)

Special Abilities: Cold Regeneration (Mid)

“Those are trolls, and they have a very high regeneration ability. Be careful,” Alec warned before turning his focus back to Titan as he had a certain trust now that legion would not fail.

Legion immediately left his side, as he moved forward, he drew out the steel staff from his pocket once again, while also pulling cubes from different spatial pockets around him, then aligning them with the steel as it continuously reshaped itself.

In moments, it no longer looked like a staff, but a sleek sniper rifle, with its long scope and refined body, Legion then came to a halt, as he raised the weapon, pressed his right eye against the scope, and took the shot.

Bang!

Even the recoil only jerked his shoulder slightly as the bullet flew out, the Ice Trolls had clearly underestimated him, likely because all they could sense was the aura of a low Tier 7 being, and that was how the bullet smashed into and lodged itself in the head of the troll standing on the left.

Legion had already judged that the one on the right was probably the leader, so he aimed to instill fear in it first.

That was how the body of the Ice Troll crashed onto the ground with a heavy thud, it was the same sniping shot Legion had performed before reaching this region, only now he had repeated it in front of everyone, giving the other main golems a firsthand view of just how terrifying he had become.

The Ice Troll that was still standing stared in shock, but that shock quickly turned into rage as it roared toward the one that had been flung backward.

In the next moment, Legion watched as the troll that should have been dead stood back up, on its head, long ice crystals had already formed, sealing the hole left behind by the shot.

Legion frowned and finally took a proper look at the trolls before him. Each of them towered over him immensely, and considering that he himself was already quite tall, they truly deserved the title of giants.

In their hands were massive wooden clubs, their ends coated in jagged layers of ice that made them look even more lethal, they wore thick fur garments, mostly covering their lower halves, while the one still standing had an additional fur cloak draped over its shoulders, another reason Legion had identified it as their leader.

Their skin seemed to be a mixture of flesh, stone, and ice, though mostly flesh and stone, while numerous ice spikes jutted out from different parts of their bodies.

Some looked as though they were about to melt away, while others protruded sharply, fresh and dangerous.

Seeing the ice spike now embedded in the head of the revived troll, Legion immediately reached a conclusion about their nature, the ice clearly represented injuries that were regenerated, the ones that seems close to disappearing are long standing ones that would soon turn back to the stone-flesh body and as for the longer ones are injuries that were recently regenerated.

But there was something he hadn’t expected, their absurd regeneration. Even though Alec had warned him about it, he hadn’t imagined it would be this extreme.

“It has a core, target that, and even its regeneration won’t be able to bring it back,” Alec said, his eyes glowing with a light blue hue as he spoke to Legion, who immediately understood the way to eliminate the threat.

Still, he realized that since he could no longer simply snipe them down, things wouldn’t be as simple as he had hoped for.

While he was contemplating how to deal with them at the fastest possible speed, Numbers One, Two, and Three moved in behind him, while Butcher, Oni, and Magnito also began advancing, ready to finish the battle together.

With Legion now at the Tier 7 realm, none of them felt any fear. After all, even two Peak Tier 6 captain-rank golems had once been able to go against a Mid Tier 7 beast and emerge victorious.

So they believed that as long as they worked together to take one down, Legion could easily wipe the floor with the other.

But while their attention was on the battle, the glaciers housing Titan finally shattered.

Alec narrowed his eyes, waiting for the blinding light to fade so he could finally lay eyes on his golem.
