Chapter 1028: Alec Gordons Arrives 2.

“You rascal, Alec, what the hell do you think you’re doing in a place like this?” the Gordons Patriarch roared, his face filled with fury at Alec’s sudden appearance in Estonia City.

He had done everything in his power to make sure no one from the younger generation, or any mage that wasn’t up to forty years old and belonging to the Gordons Clan, remained behind before the battle began.

The only ones he was truly unhappy about staying were both Draco and Zack, they weren’t part of the older generation, and if he had his way, he would have forced them to lead the mages who escaped.

But those two were just as stubborn, refusing outright and insisting they would never run while the other elders stayed behind to fight, because they too were elders, yet he had forgotten something.

Above even those two, there was someone far more stubborn to the bone.

Alec Gordons, his own grandson.

He had been relieved knowing that the brightest prospects of the Gordons Clan were safely within their respective academies, and no matter how the war ended, no academy would ever allow harm to come to their students, as it would damage their reputation beyond repair.

But now Alec, who should have been far away in the War God Mage Academy, stood right in front of him, the fact that he had even been allowed to come here left the Patriarch completely baffled.

“What are you talking about? I came here to brag to you, to tell you that your golems aren’t shit, because I already have mine enter the same realm as them and that we have come for their title as the new Big Three of the Gordons Clan.” Alec said as he casually picked his ear.

He spoke as if the old man were nothing more than a mild inconvenience, confusing his grandfather the patriarch greatly.

While he was acting so casually, the group of mages that were part of the attacking group were far from amused.

“Brothers, that’s Alec Gordons, the famed boy general who led the Gordons clan to countless victories during the Blood Moon War. Kill him!” someone shouted, at once, countless Tier 6 mages turned their attention toward Alec and surged forward to attack.

The mages of the Gordons Clan all felt their hearts tighten in fear as they saw the City Hall forces moving toward him and they too tried to move as they wanted to support him, it wasn’t that they doubted Alec’s strength.

It was just the sheer number of enemies rushing at him that made their blood run cold, the mages rushing toward Alec believed that killing him would earn them enormous battle merit points, and they were willing to do anything to claim that reward.

Even the Patriarch and the elders tried to move toward him, but their opponents tightened their hold on them, slashing out and forcing them back.

They were determined to keep the Gordons’ high ranks occupied for as long as possible, as they were convinced that Alec would eventually be overwhelmed by the sheer number of mages charging at him.

Everyone knew Alec was a prodigy, but they also believed something just as firmly: no matter how talented a mage was, facing such an enormous crowd would inevitably lead to exhaustion, no one had infinite stamina.

Even the undead, who were said to never tire, still had limits, as their bodies could only endure so much before breaking down, but just before those mages could reach Alec, a cold, almost mechanical voice rang out.

“Who the fuck do you pests think you’re making a move against?” It was Legion’s voice.

He raised both hands high, and from the guards on his arms, small mounted laser cannons unfolded, without even bothering to aim carefully, he opened fire, there were so many mages in front of him that accuracy hardly mattered to him.

He believed that as long as he shot, he would hit.

Ting. Ting. Ting.

With every strike, a mage fell, there was no uncertainty about it.

They died instantly.

Even though he wasn’t consciously aiming, his posture and internal auto-targeting system adjusted his shots naturally, ensuring that every blast was lethal.

Heads and chests were pierced through with ruthless precision.

In an instant, the charge halted. Confusion spread as the battlefield seemed to freeze.

Legion and Titan then landed on the ground, while Alec remained seated cross-legged on his levitating ice board, positioned calmly between the two golems.

At that moment, everyone was left dumbfounded.

The City Lord’s Tier 6 force had just lost fifteen mages in a single exchange.

Even the Tier 6 mages of the Gordons Clan hadn’t managed to kill up to ten Tier 6 enemies in total, and that was because battles between mages of the same realm rarely ended so easily, especially at the Tier 6 level and above.

For a Tier 6 mage to kill another Tier 6 mage effortlessly, it usually meant one of several things.

That they might possess a powerful bloodline that allowed temporary transformations which boosted their realm, or they might have innate divine strength or innate divine speed.

Or they could be an old Tier 6 mage who had stayed in that realm for a very long time, honing their combat skills and weapon mastery to the extreme. Such mages were often considered Quasi Tier 7 existences.

Only under those circumstances could a Tier 6 mage gain a clear advantage over another Tier 6 easily, but Legion had just slaughtered every Tier 6 mage in front of him in one move only.

That was completely outside the scope of what a Tier 6 existence should be capable of, and many had already begun to suspect something was wrong.

When they extended their spiritual detection toward him, they couldn’t sense any mana fluctuations at all.

Instead, their attention was drawn to the small gem embedded in his chest, and the moment their spiritual power brushed against it, their mental senses were violently repelled.

“Tier 7 Golem!” Many of them gasped, even without a full reading, that rebound alone and the killing power was enough to confirm it for them that Legion was in an entirely higher realm than they were.

“Like I said, old man, I came here to brag to you and show you that your golems aren’t that special, while taking their title” Alec repeated his words calmly,as he sent his mana into his spatial pouch once more.

This time, a swirling dark portal opened behind him, and from it, Oni stepped out, while Legion and Titan were still standing on either side of him, their auras finally spread without restraint.

The undeniable pressure of three Tier 7 existences washed over the battlefield, and the Tier 6 mages who had rushed forward moments ago instinctively recoiled, their bodies trembling as fear forced them to retreat.
