Chapter 1742 The Glutton Werewolves (Part 2)

The mound in front of them was the first thing the entire group could see and the smell was rancid.

It hit the back of their throats the moment the elevator doors had opened, thick and sour, mixed with the copper scent of dried blood and something far worse. Even those used to violence had to fight the urge to recoil.

Some of the bodies clearly had been there for some time, but what was odd about them, was the amount of flesh that was left behind.

One could tell that they were still human, but it was as if someone had eaten a chicken wing, just taking large chunks of a body, and when there wasn’t enough meat rather than cleaning it all of the bone they would just go to the next one.

There were bite marks, torn muscle, exposed bone snapped and split in jagged patterns. Some skulls had been cracked open. Others were half stripped, ribs showing like cages.

There were too many shocking things to witness at once. The bodies piled up like a trash heap, the way they had been discarded and the blood it was all over the room.

The carpet beneath was soaked dark. Walls had streaks running down them. Even the glass windows were splattered in places.

“This is a lot more than twenty bodies yo!” Koppo said.

His usual laid back tone was gone. His glasses reflected the scene in front of him.

Altered, being in a gang, they had seen their fair share of gruesome sights, maybe even been a part of them, but this was still tough for their stomach to handle.

“Your right, they must have killed everyone in this office.” Yin said. “But they weren’t in the reports.”

“There’s a simple reason for that.” Daphne said, as she went forward out of the elevator, and then the moment she stepped out she ducked down as a claw went to strike her and missed her head ever so slightly.

The air sliced above her hair.

She then went and kicked from her side hitting a solid object that went flying and crashing into the wall.

The impact cracked drywall and shattered glass panels.

Daphne was using special beast tier boots that gave her extra speed and she was quite skilled when it came to fighting with her feet.

Her balance never broke. Her body remained low, controlled.

Although maybe not individually as powerful as any of the other kings, she still had strength she could carry on her own.

“What was that, they here right here in this building?” Koppo asked as he rushed out of the elevator with the others and they could see the creature climbing up from the floor, in its full wolf form.

Now they could see its gruesome body, that was frightening to just look at, and wasn’t like any Altered transformation they had seen before.

Its fur was patchy and matted with blood. Its limbs were slightly longer than normal, joints bending at strange angles. Its mouth hung open too wide, saliva mixed with red dripping down.

Its eyes weren’t the sharp intelligent gaze of a normal Werewolf.

They were wild.

That’s when Yin could see something else as well. Turning her head, she could see that four Werewolves were coming from the large mound of flesh as well.

Two came out from around the back, while another two had jumped on the top of the flesh.

They hadn’t noticed them at all. “They were hiding inside the bodies…” Brit muttered.

“There’s five of them.” Brit shouted. “I think we have no choice, everyone go all out!”

That’s when all three of them had moved, but not towards the Werewolves they had all moved back towards Daphne.

She quickly placed her hands on both Koppo and Brit first, and their bodies were starting to transform and it was in less than a second.

Her power surged through them.

Their bodies were pumped up and filled with power. More so than they would have been if they were to just transform themselves and this was part of the special power that Bree held.

Brit’s body had gotten larger and taller in general while his skin had changed into a bark like texture and turning brown almost as if he was a giant tree.

His muscles thickened beneath the hardened surface.

When one of the Werewolves leapt up in the air, he charged forward and stretched out his arm which extended.

His fingers grew just like that of tree branches and then wrapped around the Werewolf grabbing it mid air.

Brit then swung his arm down pounding the Werewolf right onto the floor.

The impact cracked tiles.

For Koppo, his skin had nearly turned a light blue as he dashed ahead, and then he jumped in the air and like a torpedo he went out with his head enlarging into a point.

It pierced the Werewolf’s stomach hitting it right in the center and pushing it back into the pile causing it to tumble down.

Flesh and bone shifted beneath the force.

Two of the Werewolves had fallen, and while on the floor, that was when Yin had reached the top of one of them with her eyes glowing, and narrowed.

Out from her hand, sharp claws came out, and she went and lunged at a quick speed hitting the Werewolf right in the neck.

She stabbed it four times in quick succession. Blood sprayed. Yet the Werewolf didn’t stop as it swung its hand out and had hit Yin’s body. She was flung to the side, and surprised thinking that the Werewolf would have been dead. It should have been.

Right after Koppo had hit his Werewolf as well, it dug its claws into the side of his large head, and then there were those that had dropped from the ceiling, and started to dig their claws right into Koppo.

The ceiling panels had been broken open. They had been above them.

At the same time, the Werewolf that had been slammed to the ground by Brit, it had managed to wiggle an arm free as it pushed away through the gaps and then used its claws to slice off the branches breaking itself free.

Chunks of bark scattered. Brit pulled his arm back but even his reinforced form had been cut.

“There are more of them!” Daphne realised, and they were coming from all of the different exits and rooms.

From broken offices. From behind overturned desks. From inside meeting rooms with shattered glass. Dark shapes moved in the corners. Growls echoed across the large open floor.

With just the four of them, this might be an impossible situation for them to get out of.
