Chapter 118 Destiny's Vow: 11 A Night to Remember

This chapter is updated by JustRead.pl

The evening sky painted itself with hues of violet and indigo as Naruto, Shion, and Hinata strolled through the quiet streets of Konoha. Tonight was different from any other night—it was a rare moment of peace for them, a break from the chaos of battle, a chance to be together outside of the pressures of duty. Naruto had been excited about their "date" all day, though the thought of being with both Shion and Hinata at the same time was enough to make his head spin.

“I thought maybe we could start at the festival?” Naruto suggested with a grin. “The Lantern Festival’s happening tonight! There’s food, games, and, uh… stuff to do.”

Shion looked intrigued, her golden eyes scanning the lanterns lining the streets, glowing warmly as they flickered in the gentle breeze. “A festival, hmm? I’ve never experienced one in a village like this.”

Hinata, still a bit flustered from the entire situation, nodded shyly. “That sounds… nice. I’ve always liked the Lantern Festival.”

The trio made their way through the crowded streets, Naruto leading the way with his usual boundless energy. The festival was in full swing, with villagers laughing, stalls selling delicious street food, and games set up for children and adults alike. Colorful lanterns hung from every corner, their soft glow giving the entire scene a magical atmosphere.

Naruto pointed to a nearby stall. “How about we start with some dango? It’s one of my favorite festival snacks!”

Shion raised an eyebrow but nodded. “I’ll trust your judgment.”

Hinata smiled quietly, though she couldn’t help but feel a little nervous. It was surreal being on a “date” with Naruto—especially with Shion there, too. But, as strange as it felt, there was also something exciting about it.

After getting their skewers of sweet dango, they wandered through the festival, taking in the sights. Shion marveled at the simplicity of village life, clearly enjoying the change of pace from her usual duties as a priestess. Naruto, as usual, devoured his food enthusiastically, while Hinata nibbled at hers more delicately.

“You know, this festival happens every year,” Naruto said between bites. “It’s supposed to celebrate new beginnings and bring good luck for the future.”

Shion smiled softly, her eyes flicking toward Naruto. “New beginnings… I like the sound of that.”

They continued to explore the festival, playing a few games and enjoying the carefree atmosphere. Naruto even managed to win a small stuffed animal for Hinata at one of the stalls, though his clumsy attempts to do so had them all laughing.

As the night deepened, they found themselves near the edge of the village, where the festival's lights were dimmer, and the noise was distant. There was a secluded area, a small hill that overlooked the entire village, with a perfect view of the stars and the flickering lanterns below.

“Let’s sit here for a while,” Naruto suggested, flopping down onto the grass with a contented sigh. “It’s peaceful.”

Hinata sat next to him, her heart fluttering in her chest. The view was beautiful, and the cool night air was soothing. Shion sat on Naruto’s other side, her expression calm but contemplative.

They sat in silence for a few minutes, simply enjoying the serenity of the moment. The stars twinkled above, and the soft hum of the festival continued in the distance. Naruto lay back, his hands behind his head, staring up at the sky.

“This is nice,” he said quietly. “No fighting, no missions… just us.”

Hinata glanced at Naruto, her cheeks slightly pink. “It… it is nice.”

Shion, too, seemed to be lost in thought, her gaze focused on the distant horizon. “I never imagined I’d be able to experience something like this. Moments of peace are rare for people like us.”

Naruto smiled, sitting up and looking at them both. “Yeah, but that’s why we gotta enjoy them when we get the chance, right?”

Shion turned her gaze to Naruto, her expression softening. Without warning, she leaned in, placing a hand on his chest, and pressed her lips to his. The kiss was slow and deliberate, sending a shock through Naruto’s body. He froze, eyes wide, completely caught off guard.

Hinata’s breath hitched, her face turning crimson as she watched the scene unfold in front of her. Her heart pounded in her chest—Shion had kissed Naruto, and he wasn’t pulling away. A mixture of emotions swirled inside her: surprise, confusion, and something else she wasn’t ready to admit—jealousy.

When Shion finally pulled back, she smiled at Naruto, her eyes glinting with a sense of satisfaction. “Thank you, Naruto. For everything.”

Naruto was still speechless, his mind reeling. “Uh… y-you’re welcome?”

Hinata, feeling a surge of determination, stepped forward. She couldn’t just stand there and let herself be a bystander. She had waited so long to be close to Naruto, and now Shion had taken the first step. If she didn’t do something, she would regret it.

With a deep breath, Hinata leaned in, her face inches from Naruto’s. Her heart was racing, but she forced herself to move forward, her lips brushing his in a shy, tender kiss. Naruto’s eyes widened again, completely overwhelmed by what was happening.

When Hinata pulled away, her face was as red as a tomato, and she couldn’t bring herself to look at him. “I-I’m sorry… I just… I didn’t want to—”

Naruto stared at her, his mind spinning. “H-Hinata…”

The silence that followed was thick with tension, both girls watching Naruto for his reaction. He had no idea what to say, no idea what to do. He liked them both, but this was something he had never expected—both of them kissing him in the same night. It was almost too much for his brain to process.

Before Naruto could gather his thoughts, Shion stood up gracefully, her gaze lingering on him. “Naruto, perhaps it’s time we returned to my quarters.”

Naruto blinked, his face still flushed. “Y-Your quarters?”

Shion nodded, her expression calm but knowing. “Yes. After all, you did promise to help continue the line of priestesses, didn’t you? Maybe it’s time we take that step.”

Naruto’s face turned an even deeper shade of red. “W-Wait, you mean…?”

Shion smiled, her tone as direct as ever. “It’s time to think about our future, Naruto. To create the heir that will ensure the safety of this world.”

Naruto’s mind went blank, his heart racing in his chest. He didn’t know what to say, what to think. Was this really happening?

Shion glanced at Hinata, her golden eyes gleaming with amusement. “You’re welcome to join us, Hinata. I’m sure Naruto wouldn’t mind.”

Hinata’s entire face flushed bright red, her hands fidgeting nervously at her sides. “I-I… j-join…?”

Naruto’s head was spinning, and he wasn’t sure how to respond. “W-Wait… what’s happening here?”

Shion took a step closer, her voice dropping to a whisper. “Come with us, Naruto. There’s no need to rush. We’ll take things slowly.”

Hinata, still blushing furiously, gave a small, hesitant nod. Despite the awkwardness, a part of her didn’t want to be left behind.

With a deep breath, Naruto finally stood, his legs feeling like jelly. “O-Okay… I guess we should… go.”

Shion smiled, satisfied, and began walking back toward the village, leading the way. Hinata followed, still shy and nervous, but determined to see this through.

Naruto trailed behind them, his heart pounding in his chest. He had no idea what was going to happen next, but one thing was certain: this night was far from over.
