Amare’s eyes widened with shock as she barely managed to passively defend against the attack with pure reflexes as the giant black MECHA fist blasted against her already wounded body. The sheer force of the collision launched her kilometers away in the blink of an eye, causing her to bleed momentum away through numerous crashes even as the Abyssal Mirror MECHA chased after her.
She gazed at the MECHA chasing after her with an aghast expression. "You...!"
She recognized the presence of the man piloting the MECHA, even if she had never seen the Abyssal Mirror before. She had met him in the Heaven Sect when he had been dispatched by the Kandrian Empire to aid Rui in his mission to spread breakthroughs through human civilization.
After she woke up from her coma, she had learned that he had betrayed human civilization, but knew nothing more of what had happened to him ever since.
The pitch-black MECHA charged towards her with a blinding speed as it launched powerful blasts of heaven against her.
WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH!
She summersaulted through the air, evading each and every single attack smoothly despite her wounds while gritting her teeth with frustration. "What the hell do you want from me?! How dare you betray human civilization a second time?! If that monster reaches the Kandrian Empire, he will wipe not only the entire nation, but also inflict grave damage on the entire continent!"
She had absolutely no fathoming of why the man had chosen to attack her at this precise moment. She knew very little about him beyond Rui’s warnings to stay away from him and never fight him if possible, and to use a technique that he had taught her in case she did.
Unfortunately, she didn’t think she would be able to heed Rui’s advice.
"I want your power." An icy whisper emerged from the MECHA as it continued to charge against her.
RUMBLE!!!!!
The world shook as Materia Prima emerged from his body and Zero-Point Energy emerged from the reactor of the MECHA, unleashing techniques of tremendous power. The pascalian atmospheric engine shook as Ieyasu manipulated heaven on a scale and power that was almost unprecedented.
Amare’s expression grew horrified at the amount of power that he was able to effortlessly mobilize.
Unlike a lot of other MECHAs, Ieyasu saw fit to keep his MECHA simple. He didn’t ask either the Esoterist, the tekvores he had consulted before NOVA’s awakening, or the dwarves that he had recently commissioned to fill his MECHA up with powerful goodies.
Even his collaboration with NOVA did not involve complicating his MECHA too much.
Instead, his vision for his MECHA was limited to making it a force-amplifier.
He wanted it to magnify his Martial Art as it existed prior.
He wanted it to merely seamlessly amplify and augment his techniques and power with the power of technology, without adding too many complications or compromising his prior mastery of techniques.
Thus, the MECHA frame had been anthropomorphized to his body to a large extent, allowing him to transfer more of his Martial Arts to the MECHA itself, while his mastery of the MECHA reached a stage where he could convert muscle memory into MECHA memory.
It allowed him to turn his MECHA into an additional layer of his body rather than a separate weapon.
The Abyssal Mirror bent heaven and earth with unparalleled power to unleash tremendous storms of wind to crush Amare where she stood. Her expression grew grim as she thrust her palm through the eye of the hurricane attacks, as her movements tunneled through the very fabric of reality with an unearthly efficiency.
WHOOSH!
With a single gesture, she dispelled his attacks with exquisite mastery of her power.
"You are not my equal in battle." She growled at him with a ferocious expression. "If you want to fight me, I’ll take you on any other time. But for now, I have more important things to do!"
She turned away from him, rushing back towards the Suneater.
"Not so fast." Ieyasu’s chilling whisper ground against her eardrums in a strangely irritating manner.
WHOOSH
The very fabric of heaven held her back as Ieyasu pulled the woman towards her with a powerful vacuum.
She gritted her teeth, activating Worm Step to teleport away.
Alas, it was within his prediction.
He activated a wormhole using negatron matter before she could teleport, teleporting her to him, rather than to the Suneater.
WHOOSH
Her eyes widened as she found herself before the black MECHA than the titanic giant.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!
A thundering blow of tremendous power ravaged a hastily thrown guard as the impact launched her away, only for the Abyssal Mirror MECHA to chase after her aggressively.
"Ugh! Fine!" she roared. "I’ll kill you and then go back to fighting the Suneater!"
Furious rage emerged on her expression as she activated the anti-Ieyasu domain that Rui had once given her, while her Realms flared with immense power as she pushed herself to the very limit.
Ieyasu’s expression darkened as he recognized the technique that Rui had created to stop his mind-reading.
That technique was the reason his life had derailed in the manner that it had. If Rui hadn’t shared that technique with the Silas Clan, then Ieyasu would have been able to easily copy the prophecy technique that he coveted and would not have had to attack them and betray human civilization itself.
"Unfortunately for you, that technique is no longer effective against me." His cybernetic eyes glowed with power, as did several powerful sensors on his MECHA.
The solutions he had devised were more than enough to overcome the anti-sensory technique that was rather outdated by their standards. Rui had never seen fit to improve it, considering Ieyasu wasn’t even on the continent anymore and hadn’t managed to undo it without force when he was a Martial Master.
That technique, combined with the Eye of Prophecy and the VOID algorithm that he had copied from Rui, meant that he had three techniques that allowed him to see the future.
WHOOSH!
Amare teleported, appearing behind him as she aimed a tremendous attack into a narrow chink in the powerful MECHA.
And yet, it was well within his prediction.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
She grimaced as the powerful MECHA blasted her with an attack of extraordinary power.
