As Asher got back to his room, he was very tempted to bring out all the money he had been given and count them one after the other to make sure Azaron hadn’t shorted him one coin. After all, that man moved like he loved money way more than Finch.But Asher immediately deleted the thought. He was simply too lazy to count coins to the extent of counting ten million; he might die fulfilling such a task. Instead, he had a better idea.
He waved his hand, and the same heap of coins appeared. Without wasting a second, he jumped into the air and landed on it with minor force. The coins shot outwards, crumbling to the side, with some shooting towards the walls and bouncing off various items in the room.
Asher rolled onto his back as he stared at the ceiling while he lay on the hills of coins. He couldn’t help but reason through the amount of ways he could spend it. With that, he continued rolling on the money pile. After a while, he stood up, stared at the coin-filled room, and walked away, not bothering to arrange and transfer it to his system inventory.
’I should test the things that FatelessPen gave me,’ he thought to himself.
He took out his phone and texted FatelessPen, not that he doubted the man; he just wanted to confirm. If the message sent, then it worked.
{You: Anything interesting yet in your journey?}
Seeing the message tick once meant it had been delivered. He immediately nodded, not bothering to wait for FatelessPen’s reply. He called out to the maid, ordering a table of a specific measure and design, which was swiftly carried out and brought to him in less than ten minutes.
With that, Asher set up the television, the gaming console, and everything else. He even had laptops and other large screens too. If anyone saw Asher, they would think he was some sort of tech guy. But he was just a man in a backward planet with almost no technology.
On the television, Asher flicked through several apps, testing the streaming apps, movie apps, song apps, and everything else. With that done, he took out the last thing from his system inventory.
Lyra’s gift.
Since Lyra hadn’t been able to come to the Thalvorn Empire, it was only right that he bought her a few things. Asher couldn’t help but look forward to her rejection. He was sure she would immediately reject the gifts, after all, almost no Noble bought gifts for their maids.
Well... if other Wargraves did, Asher didn’t know, but he felt they would. After all, each Wargrave treated their personal maid or butler like their right-hand man.
’I hope she likes them,’ he mused to himself.
Lyra was a woman in her forties. Although he had experience buying things for women, he had no experience with an older woman’s taste. But Asher figured Lyra would appreciate it regardless.
Asher couldn’t help but wonder when Lyra was going to wear the clothes he had bought her, given that all she wore were maid uniforms. Although he could order her to change into normal clothes, after all, Lyra was his personal maid, he didn’t want to force her into anything.
Asher shook his head as he placed her things to the side, ranging from clothes to shoes, watches, jewelry, perfumes, and makeup. With the unlimited card, he had spent without care, choosing things he thought she might like rather than worrying about the price.
Asher’s eyes shifted towards the television. He wondered if he should game since he had nothing to do at the moment.
’Nah... I should train,’ he thought to himself as he rose to his feet from the ground.
After fighting ’Z,’ his swordsmanship had gotten better, and he acquired a few insights after clashing blades with the man. His eyes shifted to the door leading to his private training chambers.
Then he shook his head, deciding to at least game for maybe an hour or so before throwing himself into training.
He turned on the gaming console, erected an Astra Energy sound-canceling dome, as this was an online game, then put on his headset.
Ding.
His phone chimed. Asher instinctively picked up his phone and glanced at the message.
{FatelessPen: It’s way too boring, not even a single Sky Monster has made a move against us, let alone some Sinvairas or hidden Organization}
He shook his head at FatelessPen’s message, then proceeded to reply with a small smile.
{You: Why don’t you draw a pill that cures boredom? *Laughing emoji*}
With that, he threw his phone onto the bed and selected a game. It was an online action mission game where team members were picked randomly. Asher, who had said he would spend just about an hour gaming, ended up playing the game for hours. The sun dipped below the horizon as the moon rose, bathing the room in pale silver light.
The next day came, but still Asher was gaming. Wasn’t it every man’s dream? To game without caring about food, sleep, water, or taking a shit or piss, thus being able to game for days.
If it wasn’t for the sound-canceling Astra dome he had set up earlier, the entire Wargrave household would have heard his voice. Why wouldn’t he raise his voice when some of his teammates were shitty players who couldn’t even shoot monsters standing directly in front of them?
Asher was livid. He felt like hacking the fucking game, tracking these bastard players, teleporting to the Thalvorn Empire, and beating the shit out of all of them.
’If I was any older, I might have died of high blood pressure or a heart attack,’ Asher thought to himself with a click of his tongue.
’How can someone be unemployed and still be this bad at gaming? They should go find work instead,’ he thought to himself as he berated their gaming skills.
But he was pulled out of his thoughts as a knock echoed through his room.
"Come in," Asher spoke.
A maid stepped in, her eyes landing on the huge amount of platinum coins scattered throughout the room. But she said nothing or expressed anything. She simply bowed and spoke.
"Tenth Sun, the Second Young Miss calls your attention. She says it’s related to the archery game you both discussed," she stated.
Asher paused for a moment, then nodded as he spoke.
"I will be there."
The maid bowed one final time, then left as she wondered what the Tenth Sun was doing. After all, she had never seen a television or any technology for that matter. She could only wonder what strange artefacts these things were, silently deciding that the Wargrave family’s Young Master truly possessed an unusual collection of treasures.

AUTHOR’S NOTE: Hey everyone, sorry for disappearing these past few days. This author has been at the hospital since Sunday morning. Those who know about my life illness should just know it came back, so I had to head to the hospital.
Although I’m weak at the moment due to my illness, I will try to continue updating now that my illness has stabilized a bit. If I’m too weak to type, I will try my best to release a Chapter or two.
Thanks for being patient with me...
Oh, and just because this author is battling his monthly terminal illness doesn’t mean his eyes aren’t on the ranking. We’ve dropped from rank 4 to rank 5... I guess I’m also to blame for not dropping Chapters daily.
Lastly, join my Discord. There is no way you will receive information about days I will miss updates, like these past few days, if you aren’t in my Discord.
Even on my deathbed, I love you all to the moon and back.
