Chapter 1260: Simulation [Super Gift Bonus Chapter ]

"Has anyone told you that you talk too much?"

Malrik finally spoke, finally offering a reply. His personality was the type that enjoyed speaking and conversing with his opponents. And since the worry he had felt earlier had been eased, he could now freely converse without any lingering concerns.

But not for long... just in case.

"You know, whatever plans everybody has to uncover my secrets or discover my true strength will always end up in futility. If I don’t want you to know, then you won’t. It’s as simple as that."

He continued as he began walking towards the woman, his usual smile returning to his face, the air of confidence surrounding him also returning with it.

"For your sake and your Emperor’s sake, I hope your plans are sufficient. And I hope you’re strong enough. If not, this will be disappointing after all that boasting and planning."

He stated as he walked. Malrik extended a hand, his Solar Energy flickering around his palm. The next instant, an incandescent, brilliant pillar of Light tore downwards from the Sun itself, landing directly in his hand. The temperature in the air skyrocketed as the entire forest was immediately set ablaze.

The next second, the blinding pillar of Light vanished, and in Malrik’s hand now stood another katana. But it wasn’t his true katana, as the current one had been forged by the Sun from pure Solar Energy. It glowed with an eye-burning golden-orange colour.

"For your plans, I will give you a handicap. I won’t use my Solar Energy aside from this katana. From here on out, I will use only my Astra Energy, which I rarely do."

He stated as his steps never stopped.

Jada frowned as she realised she was being looked down upon. She had unconsciously deceived herself over the past two months into believing that the First Sun was easy prey without his weapon. She had simulated the battle many times in her mind, and she had won each time within seconds, the longest simulated fight lasting barely a minute in her imagination.

But alas, this was reality, not a mental simulation.

Malrik raised his new golden-orange katana ever so slowly, then swung it upwards. And with that motion, a thin golden line streaked forward, screaming towards the woman.

The woman didn’t delay; she immediately reacted to Malrik’s attack, as she had simulated this particular scenario in her mind in the past. Her halberd appeared in her hands as she swung it upwards from below to meet the attack.

But as she was about to meet it, the single thin golden sword line broke into thousands that tore in from all directions. She paused for the briefest of moments. Although this wasn’t part of her calculations and simulations, she wasn’t particularly bothered, as her simulations could never replicate reality with one hundred per cent accuracy.

Her figure blurred into action. Her halberd tore through the air like a whip as she met each attack head-on, her hand and body moving in perfect coordination. And with a singular exchange, a ten-thousand-kilometre radius had been diced and shredded by the sharp attacks.

The moment she was done, she shot towards Malrik’s position, where he had simply been watching her with a smile. The moment she closed the distance, she thrust towards his neck, aiming to tear a hole straight through it.

Malrik didn’t even bother blocking; he simply snapped his head to the side and dodged without taking a single step, the attack ripping through the air and space where his head had been moments earlier.

He swung his new katana nonchalantly at the woman’s waist. Jada’s eyes snapped towards the attack, and she twisted like an acrobat, her body displaying remarkable flexibility as her own long weapon didn’t restrict her movements.

As she dodged, Malrik’s attack tore through the landscape in the distance. The moment Jada regained her footing and balance, she brought her halberd down upon Malrik’s shoulder, aiming to hack off his left shoulder.

But Malrik had already predicted this before he had even attacked her waist earlier. So he simply stepped to the side like he were dodging an attack from an untalented child who couldn’t perceive the gap between the truly talented and everyone else beneath them.

The moment he dodged, he spun on his feet, his right foot leaving the ground as he unleashed a high Brazilian kick towards her head.

Although Jada had been talking excessively and boasting about her abilities, at the end of the day, she was still a Radiant Crownstar Life Ranker. She leaned backwards, dodging the attack as his foot swooshed past her face.

But unfortunately for her, her opponent was no random Radiant Crownstar Life Ranker. He was a man who had risen from the Dust sub-Life Rank to the Radiant sub-Life Rank in just two years.

Malrik’s right foot came back down towards the ground, but his foot didn’t meet the ground; it met the shaft of Jada’s halberd instead. Jada felt the force travel into her weapon as her halberd was instantly pinned to the ground. She tried to free her weapon, but Malrik was already on the move again.

The moment he pinned the halberd to the ground by its shaft, Malrik transitioned into another attack, his body twisting as he balanced on his right leg. His left leg left the ground this time as he unleashed a backward whipping kick towards Jada’s jaw.

Jada reacted too late, as she hadn’t anticipated this particular movement and had instead attempted to regain control over her weapon.

The impact was brutal. As his foot met her jaw, her head snapped towards the side as a booming sound echoed, her lower jaw disconnecting from her upper jaw. Her head snapped to the side, her neck following, then her entire body as she shot sideways in a blur of motion.

As she shot sideways, Malrik didn’t stop one bit. The moment his attack landed, he immediately moved on to the next. His right leg, which had pinned the weapon to the ground, moved on pure instinct. He rolled the weapon beneath his right foot, then tossed it upwards with the bridge of his right foot.

The moment the weapon left the ground and reached his chest level, he immediately spun around on the ground, making a complete three-hundred-and-sixty-degree turn as the toes of his right foot met the butt of the halberd.

With a booming force, the halberd shot towards its owner like a spear launched forward by the Heavens themselves. It whistled through the air as it moved without any obstruction, the power behind its movement immense.

Jada, who was streaking backwards, caught herself. She rotated and landed on the ground, her body sliding backwards. The moment she came to a stop, her head snapped upwards towards the incoming halberd.

She didn’t have time to reconnect her lower jaw to her upper jaw, as if she did, the weapon would pierce straight through her left shoulder. So she prioritised dealing with the incoming weapon instead.

She shifted to the side slightly, and as the weapon whistled past where her shoulder had been, she immediately caught it by the shaft before it could completely pass her.

But the moment she caught it, the force acting upon the weapon pulled her along with it, her body tearing backwards. Her feet left the ground once more, but she regained control, landing on the ground as she skidded backwards even further, before finally gaining complete control over the halberd.
